About Me
Born and raised in Eastern
India, I have lived in Metro Detroit for the past 15 years. And although
I am able to call two different lands home, I have traveled around the
world and I draw upon my experiences in many different cultures. I also
emphasize the rhythm and harmony of nature in my work.
My abstract
art marries Eastern and Western sensibilities by combining the geometric
aesthetics of artists like Picasso, Pollock and Elizabeth Murray with
colorful expressions of art and philosophy of the East. Many of my works
also incorporate eclectic styles such as mirror-work, collage and found
objects.
